Well Since my mother's 1990 Ford Tempo GL has broken down (refusal to start, even with a new battery and solenoid) we have been borrowing her car. I like driving it, even though it only has the vulcan, with the stock rubber being more than 5yrs old with about 27,29x miles on it. She'll chirp the tires if I stomp on the go pedal, well at least for a second :lol2:
Here are some of the pictures of the car

It is that color shifting blue haze paint that looks blue under certain conditions and more of a purple haze depending upon light conditions

Only 27293 miles on the odometer.

Some jerks had the nerve to key the car :flamethrower:

ps. sry about the poor quality as these were taken with my 1.2mp Kodak DC120, and if you want to see the rest of the images click here

Wow, the car looks like it's in really good shape and that is VERY low mileage! My 01 now has over 50k. :( That sucks about the key-ing thing. Too bad you don't live near me, because I know a really good body shop that could get rid of those key marks for like $100 and make it look like brand new. :)

Nice car! :thumb:

Ya I know about keying. Some as*hole keyed my dads 00 BMW Z3 in two places. Anyways, nice Taurus man. I test drove one just like that 'cept it was that green color. Do you have a CD Changer in it?

unfortunately not, nothing more than the base cassette system lol. She bought it off lot in the summer of 99. The car was built in March of 99. It is basically stripped, no abs or rear disks, unlike our ex-fleet 98 SE. Both are vulcan powered but the 98 has nearly 130k miles on it now, we got it with 20k miles, barely less than what it took nearly 5 years to accrue beyond that point, seeing as the miles only pile up when we have access to the car, when we didn't need it she used the car only sporadically since when my grandfather is arround (and they aren't at each others throats) she would usually get him to take her where she needed to get to. 27,293mi/5yrs= 5458.6 mi per year avg thus far, far lower than the average use.

Does anyone find it wierd that it's a Vulcan with a 120 mph speedo? I thought all the Gen III Vulcans came with 110 speedos while the 'tecs got 120s and the SHOs got 140s.

About halfway through the 99 Model year, Vulcan and Duratec got the 120 speedo.

Keyed a BMW???? that sucks, brings to mind dialog from Pulp Fiction:

Vincent: "I just wish I caught 'em doin' it, ya know? Oh man, I'd give anything to catch 'em doin' it. It'a been worth his doin' it, if I coulda just caught 'em, you know what I mean?"
"
Lance: "It's chicken ****. You don't **** another man's vehicle."

I have ZERO respect for people that key other people's cars, myself being a victim with my previous car.
