I was just curious to know how close it would be. I know the Taurus outnumbers the Sable, but there's a few members here with a Sable. It'd be interesting to know the percentages. Why did I list the SHO separate from the SLO? Because it is a different car.

I was wondering this myself but was too chicken to put up the question.

As of right now, the Sable out numbers the Taurus.

There's a reason it's called the Taurus Car Club and not the Sable Car Club

There's just more Taurus owners around here. BTW, add one for the SHO.

I don't have my own car yet either, but we do have my father's 98 SE and my grandmother's 99 SE which we have on sort of a loaned basis, but we've had it exclusively for awhile now

I wonder how many folks have owned more than one Sable or Taurus? I've had four Sables:
1986 GS Sedan
1987 GS Sedan (The best car I've ever owned)
1987 LS Wagon
1995 LS Wagon (Present Sable)

I was a GM man my whole life until I bought my 94Gl new. My old boss was a former Ford engineer and kind of pressured me into it
presently

94GL
2000 SES
86 F150 extended cab
95.5 4WD Rodeo
67 convertible vette (soon to be gone)

I am pretty sure my next work car will a 3.5 altima
I have no loyalty any more

no loyalty man, why not?
Ford is the greatest! I'd rather see you buy a GM before a foreign car! <_< And that's coming from me, the Chevy basher!

Well it's not in my possesion yet, but we reached a deal with the seller.

It's going to take me some time to learn how to drive it too. It's an MTX and I've never driven manually before. Wish me luck.

Awww come on guys, they are both sweet!

The later model sables are more luxurious than the late Taurus.
Ehh anyway, there is plenty room for both type bulls. I would never feel ashamed to drive a Sable of any year. I just HAPPEN to have a 95 Taurus.

The later model Sables are more luxurious than the late model Taurus, but the way they look in the back is weird. I think it's the slope of the trunk that makes it look odd. I'd buy a late model Taurus if I had the chance. My favorite Sables are the ones with the lightbar (G1/G2). It's such a cool aesthetic feature.
