Just something I've been wondering for a while:

Has the Taurus platform changed between any of the generations, or have these been body, engine, suspention... changes only.

In other words, is the current Taurus still using a version of the Gen 1 chassis?

The gen1 & 2 were joined in the middle as I understand it. That is why welding connectors across the bottom on those cars help it stiffen up. The gen3/4 are all a unibody.
