Looking for anyone who may be willing to sell me their used syncro alignmnet tool. It's for a '97 3.0L (2V). This is the tool that looks like the round CPS (Camshaft Position Sensor) with an alignmet arrow on it for setting up a new syncro. Here's what it looks like www.sjdiscounttools.com/otc6472.html

The Ford Tool No. is T95T-12200-A and Global Part No. 303-529. I found them online but I think $20-30 is a bit steep for this part. I only paid $17 for the @#$* sensor (and another $126 for the syncro; gotta love OEM prices)!!

Anyone have the alignmnent tool they'd like to sell cheep (or a free-bee)??? Please email me at [email protected] if so. Thanks.

Only tool you need is the search tool!!!!!

Hahaha, no I'm kidding. I'm not gonna bash you in the head with "OMG WTF LOL why can't you use the search button!??" :p , but there are a couple of active threads right now that discuss the CPS, the syncrho, and their replacement.

This thread, in particular, discusses how to replace the synchro without having to use the tool.

And also, welcome to the club. :) :tcca:
