That link is how I found TCCA in the first place. I was so shocked and excited about the SVT survey that I thought it was for real.....it's not. It's just a dream. It would make sense to still produce SHO's and possible make an available SVT Taurus, but they don't. I say that, because since 1997 NASCAR has used Ford Taurus' to represent Ford. You would think they would continue to build a faster version of the Taurus, but dropped the ball because of demand and production costs. There was a lot of talk about bringing back the SHO, but it will never happen. Ford is too cheap to actually concider it. The Taurus is fading out anyway or it will remain a fleet only vehicle.
In 98' Motorweek & Car & Driver had argued that it was a mistake that Ford was letting go off the high performance Taurus line. But, things have known to change, but there needs to be a strong public voice to make the arguement to bring it back.
