Try washing the windshield with ammonia in water. Cleans off everything! And it's a liquid, so it can't scratch anything. It dries thoroughly, too. Use it to wipe off the wiper blades, too. For an added bonus, it smells great!
Gee, I said to use some ammonia in water! Not full strength, of course! Add about a cup of ammonia to a gallon of water.
