Hey Guys,

I am still having a problem with a very rich fuel mixture. I have replaced 3 out of the 4 O2 sensors. The only one left to replace is the rear sensor but to get to it, i need to remove the upper intake manifold.

I've been reading that coolant temperature sensors often fail without a code triggering. Is this true?

If i go ahead and replace the coolant temperature sensor, is it necessary to drain the coolant? Reason being that I just put new stuff in 3 months ago and I dont want to have to discard it.

What code or codes are present?

Get hold of a scan tool that will read the ECT PID and see what the PCM thinks the coolant temp is. DONT keep throwing parts at the engine hoping one of them will fix it. That gets VERY expensive VERY quick!
