When the Taurus ('03) is started from resting and put in gear is just sits there and does not move.. Once more pedal and it moves OK.
Suspect rears and also parking bks. Checked rear drums and parking brake and they are free. All good back there.
Today, pulled the caliper on right front and pads good, guides smooth. Took the tool in the pic and I cannot retract the piston using box end wrench. Opened bleed screw and no help.
Did driver's side and the piston retracted with minimum effort. New caliper is next move. Got the tool at garage sale last week for $3.00. From a friend, lady who had husband pass and she was selling his tools.
New one to me. Just sharing.

Re man caliper on with no issues. Problem fixed. So on the old caliper, I used the tool while on the bench and cranked it hard and it broke the piston free to go in. Used low pressure air and popped the piston out. The seal has welded itself to the piston.
Just sharing.
