There is a rubber tube like gasket located in the area you describe.It acts like a shock asorber between the dash and the window. It is hard to get to but try feeling for it. I had to glue mine back, the glue had loosened up from the Colorado sun. Take a look see.
Squeacky Dashboard
I started noticing it a few days ago. Whenever I go over a bump there is a squeaking noise coming from the dashboard. The noise is mostly in the area where the windshield meets the dashboard. Is there a fix for this?

I checked out the gasket today. It's nice and tight in there between the winshield and the dashboard, but it does feel a little loose. What kind of glue did you use on yours?
