Awesome place here
Found some useful info.

1997 Mercury Sable 3.0 vulcan 101,000 miles

Problem: Neither tach or speedo is working.
No codes, no tranny problems, all fuses are good, no idiot lights on dash everything else works.
VSS connected no corrosion
Fuse cover writing is gone so i do not know the exact fuse so checked all.

Is there a relay for this or does anybody have a solution.

Search around but cannot find anything on this (thinking maybe bad cluster)

Did realize that it wasn't working when bought it.(No i do not watch the gauges i just go i speed then i speed i go slow then i'm going slow.
Ijust make sure i'm going faster then others :D and yes no tickets for 15 years (knocks on wood)

I had a 95 taurus before it was totaled by my wife (headon) and loved it so i decided to buy a sable drives, handles great no complaints expect for the above.

Thank you
