i have a 92 3.8L and i was driving yesterday and i was doin about 45 which then went to 0, but i was still moving..... I've heard there are cable modification recalls and such, but im not sure if thats the problem.

the top of the transmission is home to 4 electrical connectors its setup is like
______ | <Wire conneced plugs [x] are plugs and
[ {X} ] | = are the wires
| | |
|[X]=====+
| | |
|[X] | | < This middle one is missing its connector, and i just
| | | got my car back from a transmission shop a week
|[X]=====| ago...
[_____]

This is a annonying problem, right now my car is up on jackstands both front wheels off to redo my brakes tommarrow and all my intake and my battery have been removed, but i can find the connector for the middle nowhere nor can i find any extra wires or diagrams to tell me how to fix it....

IIRC on my 3.8 there is supposed to be one without a connector. As for the cable, I thought it was a speedometer problem because mine would jump up 85 when I was doing 45 and made crazy noises. I replaced the speedo with a unit from the junkyard and when in reinstalled the speedo cable I put a dab of grease on the end. There was a recall on the speedo head but I couldn't find a dealer with one.
