UPDATE! 'Special' 1992 Taurus Sho For Sale In Knoxville.

Decision is made!
THE '92 SHO IS FOR SALE. This car is gonna give me a triple digit speeding ticket. I'm a Vulcan guy -I can't get use to this power. No part outs, $900 takes it all -firm- chrome wheels and 3rd gen SHO seats. This 3.0L 5-speed car is driven almost everyday and is a blast, by far the best riding/ handling car I've ever had. Love it or hate it. I built this car have a semi-luxury interior, sporty ride and a head turning body. Right now has 97,600 miles. Rust free and tight for a 2nd gen. I get around 30 miles per gallon on 93 octane.
This is from the build log starting May 2009:
Interior swap to grey from carpet up. A-B-C pillars and headliner is original black.
1999 SHO front seats.
Leather matched rear seat.
Four aux 12V power supplies on and in console.
Sony cassette player headunit with 10 disc CD changer. (Cassette player for Ipod and DVD player setup that is not for sell).
New heater core.
Gen 4 floor shift console.
1998 factory "SHO" logo grey front floormats.
Keyless entry pad on door and keyfob remote.
Aftermarket oil pressure gauge because I never trusted a oil light.
Replaced window switches.
New shift rods.
1995 brake setup front and rear (solid disc).
Replaced all 4 struts.
Alignment is dead on.
Swaybars are 24mm front and 26mm rear.
1998 SHO chrome wheels.
4 Hankook optimo H727 225/60-16 97T tires with 95+% tread on them.
Four 'TAURUS' mudflaps.
Moonroof visor.
1989 -Gen 1- SHO front clip, THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!! IMO
1995 SHO rear spoiler. LED brake light not wired up.
LED 3rd brakelight off a 2003 Taurus.
Chrome exaust tips.
New hot and ground battery cables with new side post battery.
New fuel filter.
New timing belt/ valve shims checked and good.
New accessory belts.
New radiator.
Replaced alternator.
Fresh brake fluid, coolant, oil and tranny fluid.

The price I'm selling this car for is half the price paid in money and hours to build it... $900 firm no part outs. And sorry, no payments. I see cars that are junk selling for more than this. Title in hand.

What color is the exterior?

*edit*
NVM, just realized it's the green one with the Gen1 front clip.

All the glass is perfect.
The bad is the A/C compressor needs to be replaced and the throwout bearing makes a ticking noise when it gets hot. Also this is a 1992 car so if you look, you will find scratches and dings. Clutch grips great. No catalytic converters, didn't have them when I bought it.

Thanks all.

Yes, that IS sooooooo tempting... somebody is going to make out on that one! Would an A/C Compressor work from any Gen II Taurus work? (there are several at my local yard).

You can use a 3.0 DOHC a/c compressor from '89 to '93 for R12 systems. The dual belt set up.

I researched and this is the only '92 model Taurus that has a keyfob entry remote that I have found. Ford says this started on the '93 models as a option. odd

I will PM this message also.

My wife had offered to "Burn my F***king house down!" if I actually buy this car. Not sure what to do.

Feed back welcomed.

On the other hand, if she does that, you can live in the Sable and daily-drive the SHO.

Replied to your PM 2000sable.
Married men lets band together and focus a mental message to Mrs. 2000sable to give the SHO a chance.

Get this... she is having her dad call me. For now, I'm coming to get the car as soon as my bonus check clears, July 10th.

OMG So sad to see this car go, but super glad it's staying in the club. I love it so much and if I didn't already have a car, I'd totally be on top of it.

Congrats 2000sable. That's a hot car.
