That's cool. I love synthetic oil. I use Valvoline, but I don't think there's much difference between the synthetics.

They make vavoline 5w-20 synthetic oil?Originally posted by jason8225@Mar 30 2004, 03:17 PM

so thats why i get amsoil..only one who makes synthetic in 5w-20!I need to look into that then - it could be a Duratec thing maybe? My vulcan takes it just fine. They just put it in there when I get my oil change done, so I was just assuming that was OK, lol - probably not the thing to do at a quick lube type place.

What's the difference between 5w20 & 5w30? I honestly have no idea![]()
The oil filler cap says 5W20 on the 2004 Taurus SE Vulcan I have as a loaner car.Originally posted by jason8225+Mar 30 2004, 04:09 PM-->QUOTE (jason8225 @ Mar 30 2004, 04:09 PM)Originally posted by [email protected] 30 2004, 04:06 PM

mobil1 makes 5w20
Mobil 1 0W-20 is the ideal product for high revolution and output four and six cylinder cars where a 0W-20 or 5W-20 viscosity lubricant is recommended.[/b]
how about no sending you money and you just find a linkOriginally posted by mikehawk@Mar 30 2004, 06:22 PM
Dude, how am I going to show you? I know I've seen it. My digital cam has been broken for the longest, and replacing it just isn't a priority. If you send me $5 plus shipping I'll buy it and send it to you. I've either seen it at super wal mart or at discount auto parts store. But I KNOW mobil1 makes 5w20.
i called ford and they said no, only 5W-20Originally posted by SHOZ123@Mar 30 2004, 08:03 PM
I'm sure too if you look in your manual that 5w30 is acceptable.
actually i did and it just says 5W-20 thats why i called because i wanted to use mobile 1 5w-30...Originally posted by SHOZ123@Mar 30 2004, 09:39 PM
Did you look in your manual? I would be very skeptical of what someone from Ford told me. Bunch of numbskull's usually. <_<
