I took her car to autozone and got the code 327, something for the EGR, I am wondering how hard it is to clean and or replace

No not at all. Use some carb cleaner, and a shop towelette. That should do the trick. Also, the EGR Valve is the Spaceship looking thing that connects to the intake Manifold. Good Luck

There is a small vacuum line on top. Pull it off.
There is a line connecting to the EGR. It may be a pain to remove, as it gets rusty.
YOu *may* need a line wrench to get it off, depending on how tight it is.

Last, remove two small bolts holding the EGR to the air intake.

I have the same vehicle as the one you are working on. So use this pic if you do not know exactly where it is.
As SAL said, it is the spaceship looing thing. Watch out for aliens coming out of it.
:05: (Sorry Sal, couldn't resist :))
