Last weekend I finally got around to getting the silver stars and installing them. They are nice, definitely whiter and brighter, but over the 02 stock halogens, not a TON of difference. But put it against something like my beater (95 tracer), and its night and day (comparison pic below).

These were all 1/8 sec exposures

tracer vs taurus (low beams on both):

Which Taurus is that one on Kyle? I read something that around 2000 something changed, and the gain would be as significant on newer models. It is whiter, but the change wasn't as drastic as thought it might be. In any case they are nice and I do like them

Any Taurus past the '96s will benefit just as much from a 100W headlight harness. With the harness, the Silverstars and a good headlight alignment you can get decent lighting from these cars.

That was on the gen 4. I read something cool about the gen 4 lights. Gen 4's have 25% brighter headlights than the gen 3. The gen 3 has 40% brighter headlights than gen 2! And they all use 9007 bulbs.

That tells you how much wiring and a little different design can do.

These are NOT like the cool blues or any other fake - ricer - like imitation HID light bulb. They do not shine fake blue painted light onto the pavement. Therefore they work perfect in the rain at night.
