I remember most everything about the scosche kit when I used it to install the radio in my sable. Now I am installing a radio in my taurus and have a few questions to anyone that can help refresh my memory or help period.

The speaker wiring harness that comes in the kits has a black and yellow wire on it and it is terminated to connect to something else. However, the instructions don't give me an idea as to what those 2 cables are for. They run from the plug out to about 6" and terminate. I am guessing its to connect back somewhere? Any ideas?

Lastly, the blue wire in the aftermarket harness is for the connection to the blue wire on the aftermarket radio. It controls the power antenna. On my sable I hooked it up and it worked like it should. My question tho, how do I make it so the antenna goes up when I turn on the radio, but not go up when I use the CD/Satellite part? I guess its just a pet peeve if you will but it doesn't make sense to have the antenna up for cd's when you don't need it. Unless I have to make some sort of switch for it? Any suggestions?

Thanks

Didn't understand your first part.

Yes, every radio I have used or hooked up makes the antenna go up when it gets turned on. Regardless if its being used for CD or radio.

Can it be set to make the antenna go up on radio ONLY and NOT when I am using the cd part, or is it going to go up regardless of what I am using?

Thats intresting.

According to the install for the DEH-P7500MP, there is only one blue wire. It reads "To system control terminal of the power amp or Auto-antenna relay control terminal." That is about it.

I don't think any of my pioneers worked like your first description. I wish they did tho.
