On one of my previous vehicles, part of the scheduled maintenance on it was to replace the timing belt @ 80K.

Since I do not have a manual, and I do not know if my car has a belt or a chain, I would like to know what should be done in that area on a 2003 3.0 24 Valve Taurus.

I'm probably way overdue for something, and I'm getting close to 200K, any ideas?

Thanks

No you have a timing chain, so no need.

Spark plugs and wires would need to be replaced, coolant and transmission flush would also be needed.

I went to my Ford dealer and asked what they do for routine service at my mileage. They gave me a maintenance sheet that outlined service intervals and what they do. (just don't look at their prices)

Yea, by the book the get 0.4 hrs to do a PCV valve on a DOHC.

That will get you maybe $60 for a $7 valve and half hour of amature time.

And do it you self is a character building experience.:p
