Depends on my engine's attitude.

If it's being nice and has power, I shift around 3000.

Otherwise, the only way i can get anywhere is shifting at 6 grand (only in first-second).

121k and still 'running fine', though. Whatever.

I find the shift points my chip gave me at 5600 are a really good point. If you hold it out any longer, the power is non existant.

When I floor it, I get it to about 5.5k RPMs. When I'm just driving to conserve gas, I get it to shift at 2k RPMs.

3500 is a nice median to shift at. My '89 Vulcan saw 6000RPM's everyday for 2 years, and never gave me a problem.

Everyday driving in the SHO is around 4000, highway merging is 5000.
And then there's beating the yellow...

on my vulcan when I'm on it - I usually get somewhere between 5500 and 6k. Haven't really paid attention though lately, lol.
