Just thought I'd write to pass this experience on. For years my '90 Sable would stall only in the summer and only when it was really hot outside. One time a tow truck driver told me it was the fuel pump. His reasoning was that the tank and pump are close to the ground where they're affected by the heat from the hot ashpalt. I didn't listen, so after every other possible guess, test, megabucks and against my mechanics "expert opinion" I had the pump replaced. No hot weather stalling since. Now, can someone help with my first posting - "Tranny slipping or no lock-up?"....LoadedLX, where are you?
