When replacing brake rotors, pads and struts what rubber gaskets does one need to check for wear and tear (Specific names for each gasket would be nice)?
When I had a Gen 2 the brakes had rotor wobble. Whenever I stepped on the brake pedal the rotors would actually wobble from side to side at a high rate. The mechanic replaced a rubber gasket just near the rotor. Does anyone know what it's called?
I don't know of any rubber gaskets on the braking system of any Gen Taurus with disc brakes. Only things are the caliper piston boot and if that is torn then you need a rebuilt caliper and the slider pin boots which are normally good unless torn.
