I've got an odd one for ya.
I noticed tonight that my reverse lights don't work.
Well, they do - but only when going from Park to Reverse. If I go from Drive (to Neutral) to Reverse, the lights don't work.
I've made sure I'm going "far enough" that the lights don't even come on by the time it's in Park.
Once I'm in Park, I can go /back/ to Reverse and they pop on just like that.

Any ideas?

I would suspect the TRS, as it directly controls the reverse lights.

I just replaced the TRS (transmission range sensor) less than a month ago. What other possibilities are there?

Believe it or not, but it was the TRS. I fiddled and fiddled and adjusted and adjusted and gave up. I went down to O'Reilly Auto and told them I wanted a replacement for the part number XXXXX that I had purchased on 4/26. I got one, I put it in, I adjusted it (as I did the first replacement when I put it in), and tada - it works the way it is supposed to.

Thanks again to everybody - in particular, I would not have thought it could possibly be a component I had replaced not a month ago (but was otherwise working fine) were it not for SilverThunder's response.
