I was replacing my DPFE sensor and I found this red hose, I think it should be connected to something but i dont know what? Here is what it looks like.



This is where it looks like it leads to, but I dont know where the other end goes to :dunno:

Goes to the "tree"- rubber fitting, on the back of the manifold, where the other colored plastic vacuum lines go. you'll have to look to see it, but it is back there.



AHHH heck, it's a TEC, I might be wrong, ask spridget, he'll know.

does that hose fffect anything like idle?

Trace all the vacuum lines off the manifold. That red line most likely serves the fuel pressure regulator (as shown in the second pic). Like Rudy said, it probably goes to a rubber vacuum "tree".


If the hose is pulling vacuum at when the engine is running, yes it will affect idle. It will cause the engine to run lean and set off the CEL before long.
