Has any one out there removed tinted window film successfully? I need to and have heard much ugliness can ensue if not done properly. One thing I do know is hot weather helps when removing bumper stickers. Your responses are sure to help much of Humanity! :icon_cool:

I removed with a heat gun and pulling/heating along the way. Cleaned the glass with GooGone.

Use a steamer and start in a corner. I used a travel garment steamer to remove tint on an old car of mine. The steam will loosen the adhesive so the film can be easily pulled off. It even works for the rear window and you won't damage the defogger. If there is adhesive residue left you can clean it with regular window cleaner or goo gone
