I am upgrading the front sway bar on my 92’ Wagon to 24mm.

I would like to upgrade the rear to a larger dia. I see two options:

#1 – 18mm bar from 80’s wagon

#2 – fabricates my own from larger dia bar (I have the equipment to do so).

My Sedan has 24/26 with good results.

Few questions for those who know more about this…

#1 - Is a 24/26mm combo okay for a Wagon? If not, what would be the best combo?

#2 – What type of material should be used? carbon steel/chrome-moly/4130/4340? Rockwell 32c or harder?

Thanks

I am not sure what would be good for a wagon as no one has really raced the wagon so I am not sure how they respond.

If you make it I would go carbon steel or chome-moly. I would do 1" solid bar. Also finding bushings would be tough.

You are going to need to make a custom hanger that is I shaped to mount aftermarket bushings on.
