Due to a strange affinity I have for my 94GL with 233K miles, I have let my girlfreind use my 99SE. Yesterday I arrived home to discover the rear bumper cover cracked and hanging a bit on the right side, she hit a hidden pipe in a grassy parking area. I found a replacement at a local wrecker for $CDN 150. Is removal & replacement a possible DIY job? Can the replacement be painted, if so is this possibe to DIY?

Replacing the bumpers are easy. There's just bolts holding it in :) Painting I would just take to a shop.

What I would do to save money is:

1. Buy the bumper cover
2. Have it painted by the shop
3. Put it on yourself..

If you put the bumper cover on yourself first, then take it to be painted, they'll charge more to blend the paint with the original.
