So after working on my brothers brakes in his cutlass i thought i would check out the tauruses brakes. I didnt half to check far. Both rear brakes rotors are covered in rust. Like they havent been used in quite a while. Before i dig into this i was wondering if anyone had come across this problem. Could the calipers be siezed open. Maybe the sliders need greased, or my porpotioning valve is garbage. Any other ideas would be very helpfull.

The first thing I would do is jack up the car, have someone step on the brakes and see if you can turn the wheels. If the calipers or sliders are stuck, you will be able to spin them. It is possible that the pads are screwed up and still grip some. If thats the case, new pads and rotors are all you will need.
