2000 Taurus Vulcan FFV here.

Before I take my car to the mechanic (again), I was wondering if someone had a solution here.

A few days ago, my e-brake light kept coming on for no reason. I read on here to check the brake fluid. Well, it was low. So I filled it up with some stuff from Autozone to the max line. The light stopped coming on (yay!), but last night I went out with some of my mates and I noticed a loud vibrating noise coming from the back when I was at a stop holding the brakes. It only does it when a hold the brakes for a few seconds at a total stop. It's quite loud, like a jackhammer noise.

Any ideas?

If you fluid is low then the brake pads /shoes are worn down. I bet you are down to the metal on the shoes.

yup, that would do it! now that you've got fresh fluid in the rear brakes it might be recommended to flush the front ones too.
