Hi,

As you all know we just went through hurricane frances here in south florida. In any case my car had to stay outside, luckily it isn't damaged but it did take on a lot of water under the hood. For instance my sound deadinging material was all soaked.

In any case the car didnt start the first few tries. When it did the SES light came on and it had no power and the car shuddered all over the place. I left if off for a whole day, started again and everything seems fine however now around 1900 to 2500 RPMs I get a rattle when I give it some throttle. Sounds like a bolt or marbles in the intake. If I rev it higher it goes away but as the rpm's dip it makes the sound again.

Sound also seems to be worse in the morning or during a "cold" start.

Any ideas what this could be, do you think I messed my cats up after I started it and drove with the SES light on?

Any help appreciated while I still have power before Ivan ;)

Thanks,
Mark

Water in the intake or in the distributer. That happend to me on my mom's car when I washed the engine.

Just open the hood and park it in the sun til it dries out before Ivan hits.

Hopefully everything will turn out ok.
