So, I am posting this as an act of desperation.

I drive a 2005 Taurus SE. Recently the Pioneer radio (I've had installed for over two years) won't shut off even after I pull the keys out. Sometimes it will turn off for 10 seconds, turn back on, turn off...ect. I can manually shut it off, but the clock light will still stay on.

Also, the dummy ding that lets you know that your lights are on when you take the keys out (does this have a name?) no longer works. Thirdly, the headlights don't turn on when I hit the unlock button on my key fob.

These three problems all started at the same time and has killed my battery twice in the past two weeks. I know it's some sort of electrical problem, but... that's about it. lol

I really appreciate any input!! Thanks!!

when the radio is on and the key is out try moving the ignition around and see if it makes the radio cut off. my cousin had atleast 20 pds of keys and caused this to happen on her car. another area that would affect the radio is the trans range sensor. if the sensor isnt reading park then it will act like its not
