Does aneyone know when the duratec performance site is comeing back, or does aneyone know of some other similar sites as the duratech performance? there was a kit they were selling with a cone filter and all the attachments and i didnt have a chance to order it so if aney one knows of some good duratec sites, i would be very thankful.

There was a post last month , I can't find it from the guy that ran that site. They were supposed to be back ater the first of the year under a different name. Acronym for something

Get in touch with MykeJ27 on these forums. Altough I can't find the ad, he was selling kits like that also.

They didn't seem like a "good Duratec site" as they sold more products for GMs than Fords (let alone Duratecs

) hopefully when they come back will be better.

go to Draxas.com. If I am remembering right that is the site where DuratecPerformance moved to.

*EDIT* I just went to the site and yes that is where they moved to. They have the cone filter kit also.

Jorsh, you should be pleased with the added power you will receive when you put on the short ram air kit. It doesn't coest to much, considering that a cone filter will run ya about $40 for a new one anyways. I have the Duratec motor also and was pleased with my short ram air kit (yet I have a K&N cone filter, don't know if that will amke a difference though)

Anyone running the Duratec Performance short ram air intake kit know how much more power and better performance they're getting out of this set up as compared to running the stock set up with a K&N panel filter and the intake silencer removed, or are the two fairly comparable?

the kit alone will produce maybe only a few hp. even though you're really opening the area for more air to get in, only so much air is being sucked in as is, so performance gains with air induction mods (short of forced air induction) are negligable....or maybe someone can tell me off?

Even if it is one or two hp, you can feel a differnce in perfromance and sound and throttle reponse is better. And will be a key stone for future upgrades to the intake system.
