OK, charging system wasn't working. The voltage at
the battery did not change after starting. Fusing and
wiring and whatnot were all OK. So, I pulled the
alternator. BTW, thanks for the posts about lowering
the subframe. Anyhoo, the alternator passed a test
adminstered by a big box auto store. So, I put it back
on the car. Now, I'm getting from 13.1 V to 13.4 V at
the battery after starting. Maybe I had open circuit on
some of the alternator connectors.
What voltage should I get from my alternator? I'm
getting 13.1 V to 13.4 V, but a repair book I have
says the range should be 14 V to 15 V.
Anybody got some advice on improvements to keep
water out of the engine compartment when plowing
through puddles?

P.S. My lawn mower cost twice as much as my car.
