Just recently my sub has stopped working. I checked it out and the in line fuse which is 40A(what the 8ga kit came with) was blown. I thought this was no big deal so I bought a pack of replacement 40A fuses. When I put them in, they blow imediatly. I checked the ground in the trunk, its fine. Everything looks normal. Any ideas?

This is happening because the power wire is grounded somehwere it is not supposed to be. Check to make sure there are no bare connections showing that the power line is hitting.

yep either a short somewhere in your scheme or the amp is blown...I would go for short though if its blowing out at the battery. Maybe from where your line goes into the cabin? like where you fed the line through it has rubbed a hole into the wire and is immediately grounding to the body...

Try using it in a friends car. If it works with their setup, then it is prolly fine. If not well....

if its not turning on... if the amp fuses aren't blowing...if the "protected" light is on (the red one usually...can be a green LED through too)...all signs the amp has blown. Also you might get that wonderful smell of burining plastic when its on

Or when its on check the voltage across the power/ground terminals. should be about 12V...if more/less than something inside is wrong.
