Hi,

I need to replace the power steering hoses on my 93 vulcan. What is the best way to get a wrench on the hose fittings where they attach to the rack & pinion?

On my 93, the ps hoses are routed over the top of the trans bellhousing and down to the steering gear. I removed a bunch of stuff allready trying to get access to the fittings from above but still can't hardly get my hand down there to put a wrench on the fitting.

I read elsewhere on the forum that this job is not suppose to be so difficult, but it's giving me fits. Any specific instructions on how best to access these fitting would be most appreciated

Thanks, BC

Either go in from the drivers side or use long extension bars and a crowfoot wrench

Okay, thanks guys, I got the old ones out. I removed the heater hose assembly and transaxle dip-stick to gain access from above.
