I was driving my grandma's Taurus and when I got up to 50ish mph the car bucked like it hit the rev limiter.
Any idea what it could be?
The car was in Normal drive.
WOT- Occasionally will buck.
If I cruise up to 50 I can get past it.
But with the way people drive in NH you usually have to go WOT onto roads and highways..
This does NOT sound to me like a transmission issue but an ignition issue or possibly a vacuum or fuel issue. It wont upshift because you are applying heavier throttle to maintain 50 mph due to the lack of power from the miss.
