First guess would be stabilizer links, otherwise could be a loose tie-rod (I've heard inner tie-rods make a bit of a racket when they get loose enough!).
Jack up the car, and see if you can get the stabilizer links to rattle (wiggle 'em to see if there is any play), otherwise grab a tire and see if there is any left-right play - helps if you have a second person to keep an eye on the tie-rod to see if there is any play in the inner tie rod, or outer tie rod end... (unless you have access to a hoist!)
