The best way to tell is to unbolt the Y pipe from the manifolds and see if the test improves.

No need to pull the motor to get the Y pipe off. But if you do then it is easier to drop the whole drivetrain out still on the subframe.

im thinking of doing rings, bearing, ect i am really thinking a ring broke on #2

Plugged cats in the end wouldn't likely be the problem, but they could participate. Any misfire, from low compression or something is a death sentence to cats, which would then plug up, adding to your problems. But the root cause would be a misfire.
