That's pretty cool. Did you install the y-pipe yourself, or did a sjop do that for you. I asked about it when I was getting my cat-back done, and they didn't want anything to do with it. You got the y-pipe from draxas (used to be duratecperformance), right?
that is who i got it from and i did install it myself on my back in the grass( I mean dirt and sticks) of my back yard with the car on ramps.
PuRrRrRrRrrfection... Love the sound. And your ride is sooo clean.

On a side note, my car is soon to be done!! They put rust inhibitor on the subframe and painted it black for me! I was psyched on that, new tires will be installed and then we'll have to hang out fo sho.

Did you lose any low-end torque on the install?

How long did it take to install it? I was thinking about doing it when they were first made available, but like I said, nobody wanted to install it, and I didn't really think I'd be able to.
i never had any low end torque

but it was easy to install you need a 15mm deep well socket, a very long extension 3/8 drive ratchet, 13mm socket and 7/8 wrech for the 02 sensors
Was it worth it?

I get a little wheelspin off the line (finally after so many mods) and I don't want to lose that unless it really pays off. Did you do any before and after track times or anything like that?

So as long as I get a longer extensior it sounds like something I can do. And I don't have to worry about emisions in Florida, so that's cool, too.

With the draxas y-pipe and Bob's overbore secondaries, that would probably make a hell of a highway racer.
you will most likely lose it with this mod but i could be wrong.

The main reason i did this is because i had one bad catalytic convertor and the part from ford is like 1k not including install.

It is good but without a custom burned chip it will be hard to recognize all the benifits. Which is the wall I have run into.
It looks awesome dude. I love the sound of the exhaust. I love it when people go through the trouble of taking videos of their rides and posting them. The sound was very clear. Just one suggestion. Did you ever think of a CAI? I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to fabricate. I am in the middle of mine now. Anyway, keep up the good work!

Nice Ride...I particularly like the vid of you burnin down the street. Good overall sound. I'm thinkin of doing a bootleg dual exhaust on my GL as well--im gonna use the summit turbos though.

Cool sable dude,
Dude that is awesome. Your car sounds like a Gen2 SHO on those videos. Holly crap, i never knew it would sound that great!
Hey thanks peeps that is actually the Midwest's Prez driving and I am taking the video yes that is me that says cool at the end of the one I call the brakes because you can hear the slotted rotors whinning.
Nice looking Sable (speaking as a fellow 96LS owner
)

I may need to drop my Y-pipe to get at the oil pan. Can you comment further on the removal process? Specifically, how did you get at the connectors for all four O2 sensors. Several of them look nearly impossible.

God blessed me with small arms and hands, so they seem to go many places others cannot.

Any way it is real hard to really tell you how to do it. I just did it because I had to.

well sorry I am not much help.
