My 2005 Taurus with the 3.0 OHC, stalls when it is first started (usually restarted after it was warmed up already), and I turn the steering wheel. I have done all the basic tune up items (filters, plugs, O2 sensors, cleaned the MAF sensor), and I replaced the Idle Air Control valve as well.

Someone on another forum mentioned there was a sensor in the Power Steering system that tells the IAC to rev the engine when the wheel is turned at idle. I can't find this sensor, does anyone know what it is called, where it is located, and where to get a new one?

By the way, no codes are set from this issue.

You are throwing parts at the car hoping to fix it. Get a scan tool on it (not a $39 code reader) that can monitor PIDs and look for PSPS (power steering pressure switch) function and see if the PCM reads it turning on when the wheel is turned.
