Okay, here's 2 different questions, both about painting:

1. Can you paint the stock wheel covers? Mine have some curb scuffs (since I bought it) that I would like to cover up. I'm not too hot on any of the aftermarket wheel cover alternatives.

2. My front bumper and grill fascia seems to be peeling or flaking. What started as a thumbnail size mark is now about 4 or 5 marks the biggest being the size of a hand. Is this worth trying to touch up, or should I just find someone to repaint the entire front end?

Btw, I own a 98 Sable GS with about 50k miles.

Okay, so how do I go about painting it? I know you have to sand and then paint, but which grit is good? Also, someone told me it is flaking because it was repainted and the painter didn't mix in flexing agent. Is there anything I can do to make my touch-up last longer?
