Overheating

I have a 2010 Ford Taurus sho and it over heated today the car didn’t shut off by itself. I noticed it and pulled over and cut it off. I called my dad and he brought me some coolant and I filled it back up and I noticed the small hose connected to the upper radiator hose was busted at the T connector it still leaks from there but the car has been off for around 2 hours now and won’t start it saying starting system fault. Has anyone else experienced this and what problem was it.

It says starting system fault? Or charging system fault?

It said starting system fault yesterday but I can go out to the car now and try to start and it will say shift into park. But it it’s already in park I’ve even tried the override button so I can get it to go into gear and even tried starting in neutral still same thing. I don’t see how overheating this car one time would cause all these problems and it’s not like I drove far either I was leaving a friends house that day. So I put his address in google maps and the address I broke down at it was 4.6 miles or 8 minutes away.
Interesting. If it says "shift into park" while the car actually is in Park, my first inclination would be the transmission range sensor. That's inside of your transmission so probably complicated to address. But then, I'd imagine you'd simply get a message to shift to park and not "Starting System Fault". The latter might actually indicate a PCM issue. Whether that has anything to do with your overheat is hard to say. Maybe or maybe just an unlucky coincidence. Was the coolant spraying under the hood? Possibly could have gotten somewhere it really shouldn't have. If you have the ability and know-how you can try and read the fault codes to maybe get some more info on the matter. Otherwise, and probably regardless, a trip to a mechanic/dealer.
So I got those messages at two different time yesterday day 5/22 I got the starting system fault message while waiting for a tow truck. after waiting for a tow truck and waiting a couple hours after I got home i tried to start it and it say shift into park I replaced my upper radiator hose today 5/23 (I believe that’s why it over heated) and I still get the shift into park message no longer the starting system message. But I tested my battery it’s dead I think the hazards killed it idk how. So I think that might have had something to do with the starting system fault message. And no it was not pouring steam out or anything it was just a faint hissing sound from the overflow tube that connects to the upper radiator hose. It was spraying a little coolant from the pin hole leak in the hose. Also I pulled the plugs and there is white build up on the side electrode.

Pic of plugs from engine with bad valve seals. Not the same as oil burn from rings.
