Which cat did they steal? You have 3.

I assume you mean the 3rd cat (last), you shouldnt have any problems

If it's any consolation, the dpfe sensor I just replaced in march crapped the bed, so there goes another $250. Oh, and the cam positioning sensor too, there's another $125, plus the half hour replacing them in the driveway when it's rainy and 38 degrees in Buffalo yesterday.

Just be glad it's a ford, my audi's turbo went, and ran me $1200 three months back.

Guess someone got the need to fix a Taurus of their own! That totally sucks. Some dumbass decided to do some flea market shopping!

No loss of HP is brought by removing the third cat. it actually makes it sound slightly better.

A 4th gen has 3 cats. It has 2 precats right after the exhaust manifolds, then a 3rd cat after the Y-pipe.

Just put in the pipe, you will be fine, a few people here have done this mod already.

their should be 2 cats built into the headers....those cant be takin off with out replacing the headers

Not on a Vulcan - they're part of the y-pipe.

There are no sensors on the third cat...you'll be fine with just a pipe section there.

And I'm very sure you should get your vision checked.

You can see one of the pre-cats on the y-pipe from the TOP of the engine bay, and especially from the bottom. It's up front. Go look! I'll wait here, anxiously awaiting to hear your findings. :D

a pre silencer? you mean a resonator?

From the engine back should be:

-Dual Catalytic Converters
-3rd Cat
-Flex Pipe
-Resonator
-Muffler
