My 97 Vulcan wipers work in one speed only unless I move the turn signal up and then in the Hi mode they will speed up. I tried cleaning the MFS and still have one speed. Any help? Thanks.

I'm not an expert at auto electronics, but maybe the MFS has to be replaced.

My wipers sometimes do strange things when they're on and I use the turn signal.

I have yet to clean the MFS yet too, I should.

You may want to replace the Multi-Function switch, but before you do, try cleaning it.

Yep, it was greasy. I cleaned it w/swab and alcohol. Same deal. I did not re-lube it.

FWIW some vasoline would keep things lubed. If the original grease was not hard then that was not the problem.

You can check the MFS with an ohm meter.
