has anybody replaced the oil pump on their 3.8? how hard is it? do you have to lift the motor up or remove the water pump or anything? Im not near my manual just curious

I'm pretty sure you just remove the oil filter and unscrew the pump bolts from the timing cover on a 3.8. Pretty simple. Not sure if there's something in the way you have to remove first.
