I was wondering though e-bay and look what I found:

I think it's so funny with a dealer post something so terribly wrong. How do you sell a vehicle and not know what engine is in it?

I've sent him an e-mail to find out if some exotic engine swap was done, or if he just screwed up...

I ran the VIN through Ford and first off, it's a 97, not a 96 as it says on ebay.

here's what Ford says:
Year: 1997
Make: Ford
Model: Taurus
Series: GL
Bodystyle: SEDAN
Engine: 3 LITERS
Fuel Type: GASOLINE

No clue...but maybe they aren't Ford dealers..from the other auctions I saw, they look to be a purveyor of any motor vehicle that will sell. Some people just don't know their automobiles and don't care to...
