Hello,

I have a 2007 Ford Taurus. I just replaced my car battery because it finally died. I'm now having a no-start condition. The car cranks but there's no fuel pump spin up when I switch to "On." I, unfortunately, don't have a code reader handy as my Carista ELM327 is apparently not working.

I've gone into the engineering test mode and I see that Run / Start and Run / Acc both have a B and I have a PCM Telltale Data code of $4000 if that helps at all. The Key in switch indicator is G.

It's also currently 32F (0 C) outside air temperature.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Crack the fuel line at the rail to see if there is fuel pressure built up, just have rags ready. That will let you know if the pump ran.
