I just got my 95 Sable LTS, yes, a LTS. I'm experiencing a few issues, and I'm not sure if I'm just a moron or what, but isn't the headlight switch supposed to light up? Also, the clock isn't lighting up either. My car has the CD player and Cassette, but when I first start the car, the CD player kicks on and off and makes a grinding noise. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!!!

Have you checked your fuses? loose connections? Try to check the fuse junctions of your car. One from the outside(under the hood) and one from the inside. I've read a common problem on car diagnostic and the cause was a bad ground wire. A fuse tester would really be a big help to you.

Yes the headlight switch is suppose to light up. If the cluster illumination is working, then it's probably not the fuse since the illumination for the clock, headlight switch, and cluster are on the same circuit.

As for the CD player, it sounds like it may be going bad.
