last year they made the gen 3...so yes yours is a gen 3
96-99=gen 3
00-03=gen 4
04=gen 4.5
96-99=gen 3
00-03=gen 4

What changed for '04? I thought it was just the front and rear bumper covers. If so, wouldn't that make the 98-99's Gen 3.5s?Originally posted by the_spy_guy@Apr 15 2004, 10:14 AM

I agree with you. Why call the '04 a G4.5? If that was the case, then '89-91 would be G1.5, '94/95 would be G2.5, and '98/99 would be G3.5. It's only a minor change cosmetically. Yeah, front bumper, grille, taillights, and dash were changed for '04.Originally posted by spridget+Apr 15 2004, 09:08 PM-->QUOTE (spridget @ Apr 15 2004, 09:08 PM)<!--QuoteBegin-the_spy_guyWhat changed for '04? They also took the liberty of quieting the windnoise down in the car....really the only thing I hear clearly while driving mine. Its the only thing, IMO, that keeps this from being a true luxury car...besides the vulcans not having enough power.Originally posted by mth676@Apr 16 2004, 12:14 AM
Some of the other things that I can think of right now are the headlight assemblies and tailights. Plus no side bumper signals on the gen4's. The rear trunk is more flat than the gen3's, same with the hood. The rear window is rectangular rather than oval in shape. Thats all I can think of right now.
