I bought a great '99 Wagon from a neighbor's mom and was both pleased and disappointed to learn it had electronic climate controls. (I had already ordered a dash kit for an Alpine I had purchased as well). With my options limited I went ahead ordered a USA Spec iPod adapter because, all I really want is a hardwired iPod solution. So, I grab my trusty Ford radio removal tools and pull the Electronic oval of doom (EOD) out of the dash to find that none of the wire harnessess (and there are few) match up to the harnesses that came with my USA Spec.

I quickly come to learn that the brains of the operation reside someplace in the rear of my wagon. I'm assuming they're on the passenger side where my changer would be if I had one correct? So, do I need to remove the whole large panel that runs along almost the entire side of the hatch area?

Thanks in advance!
