i just bought 4 new tires for the sho today and i have to they friggin rock! I'm putting them on at work tomorrow but form just seeing the reviews for them and what they look like in person they will be awesome street tires. By the way there 225/55/r16 v rated contiental conti-extreme contacts which i bought for a whooping 383 dollars for 4 of them, it's good to have friends in high places

that price was just for the tires since i'm mounting and balancing them myself at work. I will give a full report after i get some miles on them and see what they can do.

You check tirerack? I picked my 215/60/16's for $350.86 shipped (since then they went up 7 bucks a piece). I just checked on those and the 225's and for "Estimated Availability" they say "In Stock." Do they tell you something different when you try to buy them?

High places? But that's the same price you get them from tirerack shipped (at least to Illinois).

Beat me to it! I've been telling people to get them there for months.

There are only two drawbacks I've heard about the ContiExtremeContacts. #1 They flat spot if you let the car sit for a while, but it goes away after a mile or so of driving. #2 They wear pretty well on the street, but autocross is a different story. But at that price, they are damn near impossible to beat. The Goodyear KDWS is the next closest thing. They wear better on the track, but they aren't as good for all-season use. And the Contis are quieter.

I put those on my car in an 18" and they are ok, but a little noisy, so I am switching to a Michelin Pilot sport which should give a quieter ride and will probably handle better. By the way, anyone looking for these continental tires can email me and I can get them for you and ship them to your door since I am a tire/wheel dealer and have all brands available.

Has anyone put BFG Traction T/A's on their car? I was looking at them and they seem to be a good deal. I have a friend who works at discount tire and he says they kick some major a**. And they're cheap.
