New Speakers For A Gen Ii?

I just got my Taurus and im wondering how to put speakers in the front of a 1993 GL. The stock speakers are placed so that when you close the door, half the speaker is blocked by the end of the dash. How am i supposed to fit aftermarket speakers in there?

Take off the panel with the door open and replace the stock speaker with an aftermarket one of the same size.
